I like to make historical films that look at the 10,000 foot view of how and why things happen. I also to to inject humor and new approaches to dry historical subject matter to shake up the audience.

Contemporary Subject Documentaries

Things happen that affect us every day but my films in this genre show that life is simultaneously more complicated and simpler than we think. Everyone and everything affects everything.

Fictional Shorts and Features

I got started doing short adaptations of children's books into dramatic films. Alas the educational market disappeared but I sure wish I could do more. And like every director I'm working on a feature.

Musical Docs and Specials

I love big music and dance variety specials -- Christmas, holidays, live audiences, live broadcasts. Believe it or not I still get to do them occasionally -- did a big one quite recently!
